A Crimson Tear Appears as Two

Bonds remain broken.

Lives become disjoint, torn, and lonely.

Souls start to separate into ethereal fragments helplessly blown away by the evening wind.

Eyes cannot stand to look at each other, thus continued to steal momentary glances that robs the heart the brush of happiness.

Fates continue to move in parallel fashions, slowly turning askew, never to cross each other's paths forevermore.

With strength inadequate, tears abundant, visions blurred, and hopes lost, feet frailly staggers to climb the ascend to victory, or so it seems.

Dragged by rotted memories blunted by time and tarnished by sorrow, hands absorb the shock of a mortal fall in a loud clap of thunder and a titanic mist of uncertainty.

All familiarity is lost due to the merciless cogs of time that turns the wheels of fate.

---

A crimson tear wandered aimlessly in the sorrowful air. It met a familiar face, although it cannot seem to fully unravel its true nature. The face was missing its usual smile the tear was so accustomed to see everyday. The face was alone, looking into the ground, with an unknown air surrounding it. The tear continued to wander aimlessly into the flow of time and the threads of fate, leaving the now unfamiliar face behind. The face was no longer a face, but a shape the tear could not express into words or even into formidable thought. The face was gone.

Perplexed, the crimson tear started to fall and unite its useless self to the midnight ocean. But the second hand of time broke its fall, the minute hand of life devoured all its remaining hopes, and the hour hand of death tore asunder everything it held dear.

Tears provide the fuel that makes the merciless cogs of time turn faster and faster to speeds monochromatic, hurling everything aside, destroying lives and countless souls, while making space for wounds to heal and absences to mend.
